Gratitude and reflecting on 2023

Calgary Innovation Week 2023

We’re beyond grateful for our community of People and Culture professionals, volunteers, sponsors, and partner organizations this year! Throughout 2023 our association fostered the connections, collaboration, and community that strengthen professional and industry growth. It was a year that clearly demonstrates when we connect our diverse network of professionals, we harness the power of the collective.

  • Board of Directors
  • Steering Committee
  • Special Interest Groups / Peer Learning Roundtables
  • Community Ambassadors
  • EDIB Advisory Group
  • TTN Conference Advisory Committees

We are also grateful to our exceptional sponsors and partners who offer expertise, industry insight, and resources that strengthen our association’s programs, events, peer learning, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion initiatives within the tech sector.

We focused on connection and collaboration

Providing our members with access to tech sector data, mentors, industry experts and an inclusive peer community to drive innovation, collaboration and results was at the forefront of our programming and events this year with a record number of online events and programs offered. We fostered peer-to-peer connections and collaboration that enabled learning and knowledge sharing. It truly is this community coming together that benefits our members.

Without all of you, we could never have…

  1. Published national compensation data from 200+ tech companies, spanning ICT, VFX, Animation, Video Games and Interactive Digital Media, AI, Clean Tech, Life Sciences, Quantum Computing and more.
  2. Negotiated further savings for member companies in our Benefits Buying Plan.
  3. Connected members at in-person meet-ups and other events across Canada.
  4. Facilitated learning webinars and roundtable discussions on timely topics like pay transparency, reconciliation in Canada’s tech sector, and benefits design in tough times.

On a personal note

It’s been a difficult year for many companies and for many people. Our members have shared knowledge, advice, job postings, connections, recommendations, safe spaces for difficult conversations, mentorship, hugs and laughs.

It’s an honor to facilitate this special tech-sector community where our People and Culture champions can connect, collaborate and support each other.

Huge gratitude to everyone in our community. Here’s to a productive, equitable and enjoyable 2024!
