TAP Network Giving Tuesday Volunteer Event – Vancouver (In-Person)
Connect with your TAP Network community, while building Vancouver’s tech community!
TAP Network members in Metro Vancouver – here’s a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact for women in tech! On Giving Tuesday, we encourage you to participate in our volunteer community building event, in support of YWCA Tech Connect. YWCA’s Tech Connect program is a free 16-week program that supports newcomer self-identifying women with experience in IT to secure rewarding careers in the tech industry.
A component of this program is focused on employment coaching, and this is where we come in! In our Speed Mentoring sessions, we’ll be helping Tech Connect participants with resume and cover letter reviews, mock interviews and feedback, and light networking. The skills you use every day can help someone find their next job in tech!
We’re excited to support Tech Connect, as it’s a fantastic opportunity for our members to use their expertise to help increase the representation of women in the tech workforce. We need approximately 25 people to sign up for this 2-hour event!
