TAP Network is a unique nonprofit peer network for People and Culture professionals in Canada’s tech sector to share their learnings and best practices.
We provide:
Founded in 1992, TAP Network has over 30 years of experience supporting Canada’s tech sector.
Unlike general HR associations, we focus exclusively on the unique, fast-paced environment of tech companies and the specific challenges they face.
Our Impact:
As a member-driven nonprofit organization, TAP Network operates solely to serve the community’s interests, providing an honest broker perspective free from commercial agendas or profit motives. We produce comprehensive total compensation and rewards data for the sector. Over the years we have also been a voice for the industry, advocating for provincial and federal legislative and policy change regarding employment standards, immigration and more. In 2019 we launched the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Tech Project to provide industry leadership to increase the attraction, retention, and advancement of under-represented groups in skilled occupations in Canada’s tech sector.
Our mission is to connect, support and champion the needs of People and Culture professionals driving the growth and success of Canada’s tech sector.
is to be a catalyst for collaboration and inclusivity in Canada’s tech sector.
Connect with 1,000+ People and Culture professionals across Canada’s tech sector to share challenges, solutions, and best practices.
Our members lead and influence People and Culture practices at over 250 Canadian tech companies, in sectors such as Software Products and Services, AI, Data Science, Quantum Computing, Hardware Design, Development and Manufacturing, VFX and Animation, Video Game and Interactive Digital Media, Clean Tech, AgTech, Life Sciences and Healthcare Tech.
Our members are diverse, ranging from c-suite executives to mid-level People and Culture and Talent Acquisition professionals and emerging practitioners who are building their professional careers and looking to learn and grow.
Thirty years ago, eight people took a risk on working together, to collaborate and lead. That’s how we got started, and for three decades, it’s been that tech industry spirit of collaboration and ‘roll-up-your-sleeves action’ that’s gotten us collectively to where we are today.
We’re proud of our accomplishments and milestones as a community:
We grew to 45 companies and became a voice for the industry, creating the BC Employment Standards Act definition for “High Tech Professional” in 2000.
