Pop-up Special Interest Group (SIG) Meeting: Is Board Leadership and Governance right for you?

Have you ever thought of joining a board? What does becoming a board member require, entail, and look like? What kind of board might be best suited for you? Where might you even start if you were interested in serving on a board?

This first pop-up SIG of 2023 will cover the topic of "BOARD LEADERSHIP" on February 2, 2023 8:45-10am (PT) and is open to professionals at all levels of their career.

This SIG will be virtual and interactive - do come prepared to share your experience and questions.

Kim Wysseier, Owner, Organizational Strategist and Principal Leadership Consultant at People Compass, will guide us in exploring together a few bases of board leadership and governance including:

• High-level overview of the different types of boards - operational to corporate governance;
• Risk and responsibilities - fiduciary responsibilities and CEO oversight;
• Trends in board governance - ESG and how that includes people and DEI; and
• Immersive exercises on choosing the board that is right for you.
