Join us for a complimentary community event, where Shane Todd, from Fasken’s Labour and Employment practice will be demystifying Bill 27, Ontario’s Working for Worker’s Act.

Shane will be reviewing both legislative requirements and good employment practices for right-to-disconnect policies and non-competition policies, while also touching on legal considerations in today’s labour market. This session is suitable for employers with employees based in Ontario.

Speaker Bio:

Shane Todd is a Partner in Fasken’s Labour and Employment practice, and is based in Toronto. He worked as an HR professional prior to becoming a lawyer, and knows how workplace issues and changes can impact an organization. He regularly represents employers and supervisors in regulatory prosecutions, investigations, inquests, and appeals related to workplace safety. Shane is a frequent writer on workplace law developments, and is routinely asked to speak as an expert on workplace issues in the media, including in the Financial Post, The Globe and Mail, on CBC News and on 680 NEWS radio. Shane is a member of the Fasken's Ontario Professional Development Committee and Chair of the Fasken Pride Network — the hub of the firm’s 2SLGBTQIA+ initiatives.
